Also known as Jersey cattle or Jersey dairy cows, it is a dairy cow breed originating from Jersey, UK. Known for its small size and excellent milk quality, it is one of the oldest dairy cattle breeds in the world. The body size is usually small, with adult cows weighing between 350 and 450 kilograms, having a short body length and compact structure. The milk quality is very high, with higher milk fat and protein content than many other dairy cow breeds, which makes Juan Shan milk more outstanding in making dairy products, especially suitable for making cheese, butter, and high-fat dairy products. Although their milk production is not as good as that of large dairy cattle breeds, their superior milk quality gives them a place in the dairy industry.
